DRESSES
Have you heard of Claire Mccardell? She was a fashion designer in the 1930s and 40s who revolutionized women’s wear. According to fashion historian Julie Eilber, "Claire McCardell… is the mother of modern casual and activewear, so if you're a woman who's donned ballet flats, hoodies, capri yoga pants, or wrap dresses recently — or packed a suitcase full of knitwear for travel — you're living her legacy."
One of Mccardell's most iconic designs is the pop over dress which is basically a wrap dress that can be worn through out the day and still look nice enough for an evening party. This freed women of the hours of prep and uncomfortable under garments society expected of women at the time.
These dresses were inspired by the pop over dress. Each dress is made with cotton and has a plastic snap closure. A stationary bow connects the halter in the back.
